Warby Parker Pop-up
Location: 700 Atlantic Avenue Boston, Massachusetts, South Station
South View Perspective
Neil Blumenthal, Dave Gilboa, Andy Hunt, and Jeff Raider are the four founders of Warby Parker. When they started their company they began with two goals:
1. Offer an alternative to the overpriced and underwhelming eyewear that was available to us.
2. Build a business that could solve problems instead of creating them. In order to fulfill requirement #2, they worked with non-profits to train individuals across the globe to give basic eye exams and bring glasses to their communities.
My concept focused on the style and influences that attached to the streets of New York . Shepherd Fairey, creator of the logo OBEY and a frequent flyer of New York, creates murals that reach all corners of the world and his art speaks to his audience. Partnered with Warby Parker, they share a common goal to make a difference. As reference to Fairey’s work, the use of line and color will be implemented as way finding to direct customers to the product.

Special consideration was put upon ADA accessibility. The entire floorplan of the pop-up shop has 5-foot turning radiuses, with roll up counter access as well. All three entries were made to be six feet wide to accommodate a wide range of mobility aids. All counter heights are made to an appropriate height for those who need it.
